Ok well I had ordered some wheels for my car and they were supposed to be shipped to me on May 29, 2008 in two packages. They were insured and required a signature for delivery. On May 29 I was at work and missed the package and they left a infonotice. On May 30 the package was out of delivery and it never came. Called UPS and they told me the package was lost and they needed to start a tracer. I told them to starts a tracer and after a week told me they are starting the insurance claim. Now today June 19 I recieve one package and not the other. Since they were in two packages but I find out the other is getting shipped back to the UPS store the shipped sent out from. That UPS store has been giving me the run around. So my question is can I sue them for taking a month to deliver my packages? Can I sue that UPS for bad customer service?

I doubt you can sue them. As long as they make it right, they are a-ok. If they don't pay you for the lost item, or recover it, then you can sue them for the value of that item, but with court filing fees, it would probably not be worth it. You may be better off going through your credit card company and telling them you did not receive said items. Legally, the CC company has to refund the money to your account. |

How about just dealing with the fact that the order got messed up, they're trying to make it right, and move on? Why do people think suing is so great? Are you looking for a get rich quick thing? Get over it. |

sue UPS in small claims court.
dont use the term bad customer service hat
that wont get you anywhere
but get a lawyer and dont expect to make millions off this.
also file a complaints with the BBB. |

Typical....just sue everyone to solve the problems.
Not saying that this is your fault, because everyone seems to be doing things like this. But I don't think you can sue them unless you are at a loss monetarily. You can not sue a corporation just for having bad customer service (in your opinion). Beside, if you did sue and it actually went to a claims court, you would be wasting more time and money that its worth. |

Yeah...you can find a lowlife attorney to take on any case. But be aware that UPS has more money, attorneys and time than you. They would wait you out in court.
If you're going to start suing for bad customer service better start in alphabetical order. Good customer service is a lost art. |

You have to prove damages if you want to sue. So, how were you damaged, other than inconvenienced? Can you prove financial loss due to the late delivery? Were you harmed in any other way? If so, how would UPS "make you whole"? It might be difficult to prevail in such a lawsuit.
Might be better to take some time composing a straightforward and concise complaint letter to UPS. Be firm but not whiny. Tell them how you wish to be compensated for your inconvenience.
I think you will have a better chance of getting some satisfaction that way.

I think you can't, and "we" (many people who had bad things with UPS) are unsatisfied the fact that we can't sue this **** company.
What about many people who are unsatisfied with UPS gather through internet to create a community or group to discuss this issue. If there are enough people, maybe the mass media's gonna get the attention to their bad job and they will have to correct their bad system. |

I don't recall a law that makes it illegal for a company to provide bad customer service so I don't think you would stand a chance suing them. |
