Can a manager at BEST BUY be fired for having sex with an employee?

I work at best buy and i was wondering if any other employees know if a manager can get fired for having sex with an employee? There is this ***** there that hates on me constantly and i recently found out that she slept with an employee (who is probably young enough to be her son, PATHETIC!) anyway, i just want to be able to have some ammo against her if she tries to get me into trouble again.
oh, and if you have an answer for the question could you provide more info? thanks!

Read their employment contract.

Most companies call this fraternization and will terminate or transfer any manger depending or the severity.

This happened at Sam's Club 6625 in San Fernando California between a female at the Membership Desk and a male manager. Many managers there have have inappropriate relations and enough committed adultery and their is one current female manager there that was adulterous but her name will not be mentioned.

If you don't have proof, you've got nothing. As long as this sex was not on company property, its nobody's business.

most companies prohibit fraternization with someone that is within the same store. Having sex certaintly qualifies as fraternization....but you have to prove it. If it didnt happen on company property or time then its really difficult to do anything about it.

Besides what are you going to tell someone.....if you go to an HR manager and tell them that so and so and a manager are having sex (supposedly to the best of your knowledge) they will look at you like an idiot...and depending on whether or not the person you tell and the Mgr you dont like fraternize you could really be in big pile of ****.

I worked in retail for 9 years and the fraternization, imaturity, and sometimes sex going on between employees of those places is absolutely ridiculous.

My advice....avoid this chick and shut your mouth....it will catch up to her without your involvement....wait and see.

Hmmm.... not exactly very "top quality best buy" behavior... I also work there. No, a manager cannot be fired for having sex with an employee (as long as it is not on company property) - but, you are not allowed to work in the same department as someone your are intimately related with... manager's are zoned in the whole store - have a look into that.

My 2 cents: If the manager is the direct supervisor of the employee he/she is having sex with, the company can fired her. most of the times managers are employees at will. An "at-will" employee is someone an employer can terminate at-will for any reason, or for no reason at all. If the employer consider the manger to have poor judgment (because we can't call this act any other way), they will fired the manager. Transfer could be consider, but it all depends of the manager performance/history in the company. This actually happening to one of my managers right now. HR asked me what do I want to do? So what do you think I should do, fire her or transfer her? What a dilemma.
