Last April I moved Power Companies for three weeks found them US and moved back to my old company Got a phone call today telling me I was due them £223..00 I had this out with them last May as They took £54 .. 00 out of my bank account by DD Before I could cancel my DD account Now £54 .. Plus £223 .00 is £277.00 A dam Lot for Three weeks electricity I am 72 years old and on my own any advice will help.

ask them for a statement of your account, by law they have to provide you with one, and also ask for readings to see if they were estimates, i did the same as you and got charged 1500 pound for 10 days of gas, until i challenged them, they then decided they were wrong, after 3 months fighting over it, and the wiped all the debt off, including what i had used, if this fails go to cab |

Wish I could help but I'm in another country so not sure how the power company complaints work. I have had electric issues here and had them come out and read my meter then trace the power usage and came to find out that my neighbor had an extension plugged in to an outdoor outlet and buried it under the snow!
I'm a single mom with 4 kiddie's so I do understand fixed income and tight budgets! |

I'm not in your country but I would contact them and make them send me a complete statement of account. Our power bills have the numerical amount we use and a graph to show usage difference for an entire year. |
