I have been waiting for a cooker to be delivered by Argos for weeks now. My 2 kids and I have no cooker until it gets here! I had eventually been given today as a delivery date, which they then cancelled a couple of days after it was arranged. Then they said delivery was scheduled for today again so we stayed in. Then they rang this morning to say it won't be coming today and they don't know when it will get here.
We live in a tiny village with only one (small, limited and expensive) corner shop, no transport and are having to go to town on buses to get food for our small microwave (where you can only cook 1 meal at a time) At ten pounds per journey and an hour each way this is both very time consuming and very expensive. So are the mobile phone bills I've run up trying to get some answers from Argos customer service.
Has anyone got the email address of one of the top people in Argos so I can try and get the cooker for which I have paid nearly 400 pounds please? |

Don't bother going to the top at Argos; get on to Trading Standards! I had real problems with Argos a while back, so got on to T.S. they called round to take a statement, and they had a huge file, about four inches thick, all of which were complaints against Argos!! They went into store for me, and the problem was solved an a couple of days!! |

I can't give you the name of Argos CEO, but if you go to this web-site www.companieshouse.co.uk and go to "Contact Us". You can email of phone them for information. Another thing, did you know that Argos are part of Great Universal Stores the mail order catalogue company? Hope this helps you and good luck, it sounds like you need it.....remember you have a right to claim compensation, for none delivery on specified date. |

" Urgent" Do not forget to identify the Argos branch that took your order.
However, as they have broken their contract with you, you have the right to cancel your order, buy from somewhere else and charge them for your time and inconvenience, say £100. Send them your invoice. |

I am an Ex Argos employee... though there were problems with delivery it was never often, but usually when they did happen they were to ridiculous proportions.
Not many people will ahve chief execs email, and yes it is filtered, manangement of stores cannot get direct links to him, it will go through a number of other people then to his secretary.
You are entitled to cancel your order and get your money back. You as a customer do not have to put up with this. Was your delivery free or have you been charged delivery fee also. If you take a letter to the store you brought it from descussing how this is now detrimental to yours and your childrens living conditions they will be able to fax it to head office. Tell the staff at the store to keep on it, its the only way to get things done, else ask for the head office number.
But
Best thing i can advise you is to visit the watchdog site. They can help you out also.

When you search for Argos it gives a lot of store numbers, as well as the Head Office switchboard number. Its worth remembering that to have any 0870 or 0845 number there must be a proper, local number in existence for routing purposes. |
