You could always develop a company and build computers, maybe call it "Microsoft"...something like that.

Steal other people' ideas and make a product everyone needs but has intentional flaws so that people have to keep upgrading indefinitely.

ChampDog
The reality answer is no, you can't. But there is one small possibility it may happen that is to become a nerd.

all you need to do is try to find a rich ansestor or something of your (something really old) and walla or you can do the lazy mans way (the way i like to do) and look up on the computer or rip people off on ebay (like sell a yugio japanese card that would be rare in america but that you can buy for very little for $100)

Do you really think that anyone that knew how to become as rich as Bill Gates would be offering up their secrets to someone else? No, they'd be busy getting rich. All though it's a noble cause you claim to want to undertake, I find it hard to believe that your question is remotely selflessly motivated.

googie
Well, you can start by being curious as Bill Gates was and is. Then become heavily involved in the computer age. Then develop or improve on someone else's development to make the computer easier to use for all novices after which you have computer companies place your operating programs into their machines which increase the popularity of the computer so as to require more Microsoft ! See ? First you need the BRAINS!!

Sorry, riches are only for those born into it. There are very few people who have truly crossed the tracks to the better part of town.

Check back in five decades and see if I am not right.
