yes it is their computer you are looking at. don't play and you won't have to worry. but if you know for sure that your company doesn't use any monitoring software, just erase your Internet files, cookies and delete your history before you leave for the end of the day. |

They sure can, and they do. They can track which websites you go to and how long you are spending on them.
I know several people to who have been fired or reprimanded for their Internet usage at work.
Some companies monitor your email too. |

Yes they can, for as long as they want. Mostly they don't, unless suspicious. |

Yes, there's software to allow employers to track your every move on their computers. People get fired on a regular basis for violating company policies. |

Yes, if they own the company and your're using thier property they're much more likely to spy you, in fact I think thats what they're doing right now while I'm typing this at my job. |

Absolutely they can. There's macros that run in the background when you boot up a network computer in the office and they have the capability, if wanted, to not only get a history list of internet websites, but also even pull up specific key strokes and activity input (i.e. mouse movements, etc) that happened on the computer.
Its almost cliche, but "Big Brother is watching you." - its true. Then again though if its on company time you shouldn't expect privacy in regards to that. If its off company time then, depending on your company, there could be alloted outside internet access to approved pages.
For example, our company blocks sites like youtube, myspace, facebook etc but we can go to, say, CNN and check the news, weather, sports scores on yahoo, etc. |
