Depends what country you are in.
In the UK lowering your hourly wage and reducing your hours of employment would mean they would have to change your contract of employment. Unless the contract you have already signed (it is illegal to employ anyone without a contract of employment) states that you have given up your right to notification, an employer has to give three months notice of a change in terms of a contract.
Sound like scumbags too me, if you can find another employer to work for. |

If it's during the duration of your contract, look at it to make sure they have wording stating they're allowed to do so. If it's at the end of your contract, sure they do. You don't however have to accept if you're out of contract. If you can have a lawyer look at it, that would be best. |

As long as it's not under minimum wage they can do what they want if it's stated in your contract. Read your contract carefully. I'm sure there is something about them chaging it in there. If not, then they can't do this and you should talk to the human resource department. |

Assuming you are not union, then you'd look at the terms of your written contract to see if they can do this. It's very likely that your contract does say either (1) that they have the right to do this, or (2) that they can terminate the contract at any time. If the contract says that they can terminate you at any time, they're essentially telling you that they're going to terminate your contract if you don't agree to the changes in hours and rate.
If your written contract is for a specific period of time and they didn't retain the right to cancel whenever they want, then then they won't have the right to reduce your hours or rate during the term of the contract.
If you don't have a written contract, then they probably have the right to do this BUT you might want to check with an attorney where you're located since there might be something in local laws or your particular situation that could help you. |

No the company is not allowed to lower your wage.
You can either sue them or deal with it.
But if I were you I would sue them becuase that is money that they keep and you dont get because you deserve it.
