A month ago I got caught trying to shoplift at Sam's Club; they let me pay for my items of < $25.00 then let me go. No police, no charges but got banned forever from Sam's and they said Walmart too. I used to do the bulk of my shopping at Walmart and would like to return to shop there sometime. I didn't shoplift at Walmart, so is there a way to be allowed again at Walmart to shop. Since I always pay in cash, how closely does Loss Prevention staff look for individuals who were banned from other stores? Does LP have facial recognition software in their surveillance systems? |

As long as you dont go back to the same store you shoplifted in chances are they wont recogize you. SAMS and walmart are from the same mother company therefore there loss prevention policies extend to both stores. LP wont pass arond photos/videos to other stores unless it was a major case or a credit fraud case. The only way you would get in trouble is if a investigator form the store you were caught in happened to be moved to that store and even that its hard to figure out someone ID before arresting someone for Criminal Trepass. And unless your stealing from a casino dont worry about facial recognition software. |

If caught at Walmart, they can reissue the charges. I'm sure they kept the tape. Even a non-reported crime has consequences. |

that was pretty dumb to shop lift i wouldn't trust you either if i were them because you'd probably do it again. But anyway you could probably get away with it especially if you don't go to a local walmart, try going to one a little further away. |
