Amidst the controversy regarding the choice of naming Apple Inc.'s new technological item, which they would like to call "iPhone", I wonder what the preference would be from the consumer. Would "Apple Phone" (using the Apple logo instead of the written word), as in Apple TV, perhaps, be a better choice for a name for the new tech product just introduced by Apple Inc., and thus eliminate the threatened lawsuits. Is the consumer tiring of the tradition of iTunes, iCal, iPhoto, iDVD, etc.? Perhaps, now is the time for a light deviation and move in the direction of just saying what the item is--an Apple Phone. What do you think? |

I was under the impression that Apple had already made that decision when they presented their new products. It was introduced as the iPhone.
Personally, I do like the name, I think it's kind of neat. I think it's a little easier to say than ApplePhone. I think they are being very consistent with their products and I relate it to Apple whenever I see an 'i' preceding the name.
But, as with anything else, we all have our own personal preferences. Each to his own, I always say. What's your preference? |
