Depending on what service the group is in......Use their mascot (or not - if low profile may not want to draw attention to them) with a special color (or, red, white and blue) staff crossed with a Carbon 15 9mm, with a small U.S. Flag drawn into the butt of the 9mm. Background would be a fence going around the picture at an angle to bring a modern look to the patches and make them look interesting.
