Consumer Research Company. Is it a scam?
Just recieved a check for $3699.50 to complete a survey. I guess they want me to go shopping at a store of my choice from the list of options they sent me.
They want me to fax them an acceptance form. W my name address and phone number and signature.
Then deposit the check they sent when my funds are available. and go to the store spend $300 then return the items i buy.and fax them a copy of the reciepts along w my review. Then go to Money Gram and wire them $3079.50 and i get to keep the $130 plus i will get a job w them. earning between $165-$200 per survey.
I have tried this before w a survey company and have gotten payed but im skeptical about this one. What do you guys think? and has anyone actually done this? The company is Consumer Research Company. (CRC) address is

LIVE NATION. Additional Details NO NEED FOR RUDE COMMENTS. FOOLS ARE THOSE WHO GIVE BS ADVICE. ALL I WANTED TO KNOW WAS IF ANYONE HAS TRIED THEM. LIKE I SAID IM SKEPTICAL...MEANING I DONT BELIVE IT BUT WAS JUST WONDERING WAT OTHERS THOUGHT.
I never heard of them. I don't think I would do it, sounds kind of fishy. If you only get to keep $130 of that then why would they send you $3699. Ii might be legit, but it kind of makes me think the check is a bad check. I actually just googled the address and the name to see if i could find anything and here is a link I found

I received the same letter in the mail yesterday (3/7). I think it is a scam and I am reporting it to the post office. Everything was exactly the same as yours. Don't do it!

I wouldn't do it. It sounds too good to be true AND all the obstacles you have to go through? What's with returning the items you buy? What a waste of time? A lot of scams send you checks that you deposit..then they ask you to send them the money back- which you do from your own account. Then the bank will notify you to tell you that their check bounced and now you owe the bank the money you sent them out of your own account! Don't be fooled!
