Absolutely not.

Have a look at how it is spent here
http://www.bbc.co.uk/info/licencefee/

They try and manipulate the numbers by breaking it down into monthly amounts.

Why should we pay for something that benefits the rest of the wrold? ie the bbc.co.uk website. And on that site take a look at
https://jam.bbc.co.uk/

BBC Jam is an online education service paid for by the license fee. Don't we pay for education services with income tax?

IThe whole scheme is a farce.

I really dont understand how the BBC can say that we are getting our moneys worth from the licence. It goes up every year but the quality of viewing doesnt get any better. I seem to watch the other 3 channels more that the BBC who seem to put on more "watchable" television and do not even charge us for it!

When i was living at uni the licence people even had the cheek to try to ask for a licence for everyone in the flat as a communial licence does not count. That means that if we all did get a licence we would have had to pay over £700 got the 6 of us to watch really bad television. It is out of order.

BBC, get adverts!

Daylight Robbery....It is fair to pay...but we should be given the choice whether to pay or not...Like all the other paying stations. I find BBC news useful....Everything else is a waste of time...Realty TV.....Yawn!!!!!!!!!

wchngliu
no, its a bloody waste and a joke. and why is it in britain- of all the nations in the world- that its compulsory that people have to pay for the licence, particularly those who don't own a tv and of whom don't watch anything on the box? ridiculous or what? and yes xmas tv reeked as well. it was mostly garbage

Hibee
Try living outside UK, then you will see how lucky you were to have BBC.

Boscombe
Yes it is good value. if you consider what you can watch and compare it with what you pay for Sky or the cinema.

Annie M
Its not for BBC, its for owning a TV. Hence the name TV licence.
