ncjnico | Data-Jobs UK. Is It a SCAM or is it a GENIUNE company? |
As a Kenyan who is seriously looking for employment opportunity, I did spot an advertisement on our local newspapers advertising an employment opportunity with Data Jobs UK. I did there test and after some time, they replied through my mobile phone claimimng that they were unable to reach at a decision concerning my online application. Instead they refered me to my e-mail to answer 4 more questions which I did. After about a period of 5 days, they wrote back to me again congratulating me for acquiring a job opportunity with there company.
This company at first appeared to me to be so geniune but with time I started doubting them since they did ask for some money that they claim they will be using for the shipment of training software.
Before I send them the fee they require, please does anyone have any information about this company? and if so how many years have they been in business? Finally, is there any evidence from this company that there compensation plan works? |

Yeah, about that offer... I just got an e-mail a day to the deadline for me to confirm my job acceptance(today's the deadline). The subject reads "Request for more time/Declaration".
The contact, Ray, Online Data Operators Manager, who communicated the deadline in the first place, says 'we have extended the offer period by another 7 business days', and explains the offer is as a result of numerous requests for just that from many applicants.
Ray is also at pains to insist that the software package on offer is a whole lot cheaper when obtained from them than from elsewhere.
However, any further communication is to be directed to yet another individual - Colin.
The more they communicate, the more edgy one feels about the whole affair. Am not saying they're not genuine, but perhaps some confirmation on the company's details - perhaps from the British High Commission in Nairobi. They should have something to say about it. |

I would question any company who ask you for a fee to get a job in another country.
First of all when you seek a job in another country there are certain criteria you have to follow, like a passport, visa and extra.
I would check to see if the UK had a goverment agency that could investigate the company for you to see if they are legal.

I agree with your concerns, if they needed money for training, they could take it of your pay. If in doubt, ask to speak to head of department, or manager. Someone higher up may help you out, it could be the younger workers who are just trying to 'get some more money on the side'. |

Any company that asks you to pay them for "training" or anything like that is a scam. A legitimate company will train you at their expense, not for a fee. I would avoid this company and move on to another opportunity. |
