I ordered an item online Friday April 13th, and I paid extra for 2nd day air. Monday comes around and I wanted to add something to my order, so I call them and I get a recording saying that their warehouse is closed until Wed. the 18th, which I upset me since they gave no warning on their website, and they still offered me 2nd day air at $48.
I wrote an email expressing my thoughts and asked what they would do to resolve the situation. They beat around the bush and asked me if I still wanted 2nd day air, and I said yes, even though I had paid for it already and didn't receive it(this was on Thursday afternoon). The representative said they would ship my item out that night. Well I got my tracking number which didn't work until Friday night at 8pm and now my package is scheduled to be delivered to me on the 24th. So I'm expected to get my package 11 days after I place my order with 2 day shipping. Should I be ok with this? Or am I entitled to a refund? What would you do? |

Yes, you should receive a refund fo rthe 2nd day air charge, since it doesn't seem to have been shipped out correctly. When you receive the package, the label should show how the company sent the package, if they did send it second day and the shipper (UPS or FedEx) did not get it there, the company will get refunded so you should be able to get your refund without a problem. If they didn't then make sure you have that in hand when you call.
Just a side note: If the company is in the Northeast, they had no choice but to close on Monday and Tuesday due to severe flooding in many areas. |

Yes they are in breach of contract, you should have something in writing. If you pay extra for a service that has not been provided I would imagine you should be able to get a refund on the extra that you paid good luck |

as for a refund they did not follow their rules, same has happened to me with jewlery and no item to date over 3 weeks, now they ask why not order mine was a small item at that a ring for mothers day. Yes now we live and learn as to why not do these orders. |

You are not entitled to a refund. Two things happend that would cause you not to get a refund -
1. You changed your order
2. The vendor was closed for two business days. Sorry if this upset you but he can run his business any way he wants to.
I don't know where you are, or where your order is coming from.
People who use FedEx, UPS, DHL generally have only one pick up a day and that is usually late (4:00 to 6:00 PM). If a pacakage is shipped on Monday you should expect to receive it no earlier than the following Wednesday.
You are also assuming the vendor guarantees two day delivery, and are not allowing any margin of delay on the part of the delivering carrier. In reality, even though you may pay for 2nd day delivery, it is more like 3 to 4 days. |

Yes, I think you should get a refund for the two day service charge and that they should have prorated the rest of the the difference or at least given you a discount for your time and trouble. |
