Don't be one of the Born Yesterday fools. It is scam so delete and forget thewhole thing. I got one the other day which told me I had £1200.00 provided I sent bank details and Pin number. They should be so lucky. Save your cash and invest it in Ernie - you will stand a good chance of winning something there and actually receive it without having to pay out first. |

Letters like this have been around for several years now. Often, they are from Nigeria or some such place, and unfortunately are NOT legitimate. :)
Keep the old adage in mind: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
You should report the letter you received to the post office. It is a serious offense. |

go to the better business bureau(BBB) and you will see it is a scam. we got a letter about 3 weeks ago from canada scam we threw it away, they get you to send them the money but you get nothing. you go cash the check which is a cold check send them 30.00 then the bank charges you for the money they give you cause the check is no good. |

Dear, no one ever in your life is going to give you anything for free on the net. If they say they are then they are either pranksters, or worse, Gangsters. If you have heard of the 419 scam, then please go to Wikipedia and do a search for 419 scam. Many people have been killed and looted because of similar scams. US loses many 100s of million $ a year because gullible people, and ... ahem.... greedy... people fall for such scams. There is one saying among scamsters that.. you can;t cheat an honest person. So be honest, earn your money, not win it. |

yeah and don't respond. they are fake. i read something in the People magazine that anybody that asks you to send money after you already won money means it is a fake. Look at the woman who killed her husband because she got in debt with these scams. They are all scams. |

You poor thing; of course it's a scam (they can't even spell "millionaires"). The only way you could possibly win money is if you consiously participated in a lottery or sweepstakes, and even those are not always legitimate. |

Absolutely ignore it, report it as spam and send no money.
If these scammers were telling the truth I would be a billionaire by now.
Bear in mind too that this is the UK answers site... why would they send you dollars?? And from Holland.
Millianaires isn't even a word, beware the typos.
There are many sites telling you the signs of scams.... check them out because you'll think twice about the £10 per minute claim lines (which dont state that they charge you that much) NEVER EVER give out a password or pin to people pretending to be your bank or paypal either NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE SITE looks.... all scams. :-) |

Say you go ahead and send them $30. What is the worst that could happen-you lose a mere $30? Now imagine 1,000 people getting that letter and each sending $30...that is $30,000. Now imagine 10,000 people. And so on and so forth. Don't be suckered.
Europeans seem to think that Americans are loaded and love targeting us with their scams. If something sounds too good to be true...it usually is. |
