It can be also from India, Sri Lanka or Ukraine. It is all from Call Centres there, where American BUSINESS PROCESSES are OUTSOURCED (BPO).
Do you also know that some of the medicines (including those highly sacred Prescription Drugs) you order from a US Website over the net are sent to you from India? - where drugs, both generic and branded, are much, much cheaper! |

I'm not surprised. You get people from every country calling now, especially India. Now that VoIP is taking over the telephone markets it's just as costly to call next door as country to country. Be aware, but not paraniod. Chances are, if you're interested in something they'll transfer you over to someone in the states that'll take you the rest of the way in the sales process. You have as much chance of getting credit/identity scammed from people calling from other countries as you do from any caller from the states. |
