Do I need to give a 2 week notice even though I've only been working at albertsons for a month and a half?
I'm quitting because I go to college, & I couldn't go to work because I had a last minute performance to do with the school band. The manager told me that work was my priority and school wasn't a valid excuse to miss work. She also said that it didn't look rite on my part to the company because work comes first.
Yes you should put in your two weeks notice. It will show good faith and you're not just up and walking out (like a spoiled brat). It sounds like they need to have a better policy towards student workers. They knew you were in school when they hired you right? School is a priority over work.

Leaving a job without notice is never acceptable -goes on ure work record and hard to live down - However, I would go to the top person in ure department and explain everything to him /her. Can't hurt to try - U might be pleasantly surprised with the out come - education should come first in ure future plans - do what is in ure best interests
