Do I still have to respond to my old department?
I just received several emails asking if I had spoken with a client on Friday. That was my last day at my old job and Monday I started in a new department. Do I have to email or call them back telling them that I did not talk to the man or give any information?
Additional Details
I did reply saying that I didn't talk to this individual. Now my old supervisor(which I left on good terms) is asking me if I had given anyone a timeframe(which we aren't supposed to do.) So for right now, I did not reply back to the supervisor to tell her that I did/did not give this information because I clearly do not know if I did tell anyone the timeline.

Since you are still within the same company (or it sounds) I think it would be courteous if you reply...just a thought =)

Happy
It would be the polite thing to do. If you left in a "bad" fashion then ask your current supervisor what you should do.

Forward it to your old manager/supervisor

Jojo
It wont look good if you don't. Managers and suprvisors are on a different level, they wills tick to each other and they talk among each other.

Just reply, it will take you five minutes and just carbon copy your new manager in your e-mail. If your new manager feels that you should not be replying, let her be the one to make the decision, not you.

It really just depends on if you want to use him as a reference. Also, even though you started this new job and I assume like it, if in a few months you decide you don't like it and want to move somewhere else will you need anyone from your old jobs reference?
