Do companies pay money for their surveys?
Some websites ask us to pay some $s to give the list of the surveys, which will pay. Is it genuine?

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Yes, they do pay you minimally but they make more than that on selling your email address to other advertisers. It's a scam that's not worth it unless you want a bunch of spam.

I saw many paid survey resource on sell, but I will say , you can't get rich by take survey. there are not so many survey for you.

Yes, there are companies out there that pay for surveys. But I wouldn't suggest paying to get a list of them. There was an article in a parenting magazine about this (wish I could remember which one) where the author signed up with one of these sites--she barely made back what she paid--and found that most of the surveys comapnies listed were ones she could have signed up with for free on her own.

I've listed most of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or received other rewards like gift cards or CD'S) on the following webpage:

http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys

I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc. (And yes, if I say they have an affiliate program, I'm part of it, and make a commission when someone signs up through that link...I like to be up front about that).

As you're searching, here are some tips to avoid scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not aggregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).

Also, never sign up for a survey through an unsolicited e-mail--since these might not even be from the site they claim to be, but could be a phishing scheme to get your information and mis-use it.

Here are two other sites which are very helpful

Reputable companies would never charge you for taking surveys or joining their panel. Keep in mind the amount you are likely to get for taking a survey is so minimal that, unless you are a con-artist or okay commiting fraud, it won't pay off since you won't qualify for enough surveys to make much money. The way to make money in surveys is to lie about who you are and what you do- but by any measure that is unethical behavior.

If you are okay with fraud then that's a whole other story. But then if you can set your ethics aside you can make a lot more money doing other jobs than scamming research companies.

If you really want to take surveys you can sign up for various consumer panels (see below). They pay in points, sweepstakes or prizes (sometimes cash). But you'll never get rich- but you might get something out of it.

So as always, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
