Yes they can sell guns at the supermarket if they want in America. Whoever is selling them just needs a Federal Firearm License and would be required to perform background checks. Colt M4s are pretty common at gun stores, but not at the supermarket. Wal-mart is the only supermarket that I know of that sells guns and they mainly just sell knives, shotguns, 22 long rifles, and ammo.

First off my friend nearly anything is a weapon :-) Mostly things like knives. However the are some Super Walmarts. They are basically a grocery store. However they sell guns. No hand guns but rifles and such.

It depends on the weapon. I saw some cd's that could slice you up good and a few knives and some long forks that could be used. Bottles of bleach and other caustic chemicals were sold too. I think a trip through the supermarket could keep you heeled, but no guns. You couldn't get strapped. Nope, no chrome there.
Sorry, forgot about the powder actuated tools and long guns at K Mart and Wal Mart. You can even find some mean bows at the sporting good section.
