yes. here are a few reasons off the top of my head:
- accounts and safe deposit boxes. it's a place where robbers can't get to your money and valuables.
- savings and fixed interest. in the long run, they can make your money grow a little.
- credit and loans. they can help you pay for things you can't afford now.
- wire transfers. it's possible to send or receive money all over the world.
