My postie John is also my friend. Over the past 6 years he has been my lifeline to the real outside world. Puts his head round the door...Morning and puts my mail on the cabinet and he signs for my recorded delivery stuff as well.
He works incredibly hard especially more so since his round has been increased dramatically due to the new housing schemes that have just been built around and about my own house. No extra money for John though. He just gets on delivering come rain,hail and snow.

We have a lovely postman. In Summer i make sure i have a glass of ice-cold coke or a [beer] shhhhhh. It is a secret for him. He never complains about my dogs even though they try very hard to eat his fingers. He is lovely, old, old but lovely. I love my post being delivered at home, that just does not happen in S-Africa, there you have a postbox and trust me should you get mags and there is a freebie in it that will always be missing, nooo Uk postman are tops. No complaints at all. :)))) |

i get on with my mum postman...he always remembers to say hi to my son too...he is a sweetie....and a good postman...mum is disabled and he makes an extra effort for her...takes the mail round the back and checks she is ok...nice postie...do not really even know who my own postman is.... |

It would be nice to see a postman once in a while. People who complain about not getting mail delivered regularly should try moving to Spain! I have had two deliveries to my house since December 19th, 2006 and I am still getting Christmas cards! So, if you do see your postman, ask him if he´d like to deliver my mail for a while!! |
