I just wanted to see what your views were on Walmart. I have read several things about why Walmart gets criticized (the way they treat their employees, running smaller businesses out, taking advantage of Chinese workers..). I think Walmart is a great place to shop at and is good for our economy! I just don't agree with how they treat their employees, or the Chinese workers. But really, it's not Walmart's fault that these employees are with them. These employees chose to work for Walmart...when they could have chosen to work for someone else. These Chinese workers who are being paid 14 cents an hour, working 80 hours a week, CHOSE to work in Walmart's supplier's factories. They could have sought work elsewhere. Now that we know Walmart pays crap, over-works their employees, and countless other things, why do people still choose to work for them? Please share any thoughts you have on this... I don't want any hate comments, I am not trying to offend anyone. Let's hear your say....

ron p: You have some good points, but I want to say a few things. 1st, China's economy is totally different from the US. You can't compare their salary to our salary. Their culture is also very different from ours. To them it's one thing, to us another.I am 21 years old, I have a job, I pay rent, I go to college, I pay for my car payments, gas, pretty much everything. I'm a broke college student. I have friends who have it really bad. As for taking care of children...You are saying you have to make enough to feed your family. I believe everybody (except for the mentally ill/handicapped) has an opportunity to advance in society. People who chose to NOT get an education was THEIR choice. The gov't offers plenty of programs to help students go to college. If you can't afford to live with your current job, go back to school and make a change. You will always have to compete no matter what you do just to stay in the game. Walmart is just a lil too good at it.
