Yes and No. To shop regularly at a Costco warehouse you must have a membership.

However you may also purchase a Costco Cash Card in increments from $25.00 to $1000.00 that may be used in Costco stores, gas stations or online at www.costco.com. These are not one time use cards and may be used till the balance is zero.

Yes, but all you have to do is walk in and stand in the line to get a membership. It doesn't take that long.

i had one in the past. costco is better than BJ's and Sam's Club. costco has more items to choose from and the prices are somewhat more reasonable than the other two

You can shop all you want. You just can't purchase anything without a card, or being with somebody who has a card.

Also, some companies and organizations have accounts at COSTCO. If you have access to such a company card, you dn't need your own membership.

Yes, you do, but they will give you a visitors pass, a temporary
one day one, if you go there for the first time.

yes. However they used to allow people who were interested in becoming a member, shop with a guest pass for one day. I am not sure if they still have that program though. It would be worth checking out!
