Yes... I am a stay-at-home dad. Have been one for 11 years now. I am not thrilled about the housework part of it but I love to cook and being there to watch my children grow up more than make up for hassle of housework. |

Yes I have my dream job. No customer service, no phones, no kids to deal with, and I don't have to dress up for work, just casual dress. 4 weeks of vacation a year and paid sick leave. Great retirement, health ins., life ins., dental ins. and TSP. Plus I don't have to be to work until 3:30 pm. The pay is good and I have weekends off. I love my job. |

I've always wanted to be a sports reporter, so yes, I guess I do have my dream job...but I'd rather write for Sports Illustrated than a newspaper...hey, dreams do come true. :~) |

I have had several dream jobs, but most turn into nightmares.
Actually that not true, what usually happens is that I take a job where a small group of people work together to develop a prototype. There usually at least one dynamic person who is a expert in their field who act as a mentor from who I learn something which I find new and exciting! Initially we usually have more resources that we can use and we work together to achieve some short term goal which is just beyond what we are capibable of doing in the time allowed. If we are successful, the project turns into a nightmare. There really not that much left to do but they usually hire a lot of new less experienced people to finish up. The experts leave. The remaining cadre usually spends most of their time bring up to speed the new less experienced workers.
My current job has some aspects of the dream job, but there really is no mentor. |

I'm working on it right now in my spare time...trying to get an online business off the ground so I can work my own hours and do what I want to do, when I want to do it. Until then, it's minimum wage jobs for me to get by for now until this takes off or I get my degree, whichever one comes first.
