We bought a Virgin Mobil with a prepaid card, but the card works only in the area where you activate it. This is ridiculous...! We want a type of prepaid phone with a card that works all over U. S. If you get a Verizon prepaid phone, it will work anywhere you can get a Verizon signal. I am not aware of any roaming charges you may be subject to. However, she won't be able to bring the phone back to Denmark and use it there since Europe uses GSM technology and Verizon uses CDMA. |

I would suggest you to take a Cingular connection. Cingular is the largest wireless carrier in US and it works everywhere in US
Getting a prepaid connection (which doesn't have any contract) is very simple in US. You can go to www.cingular.com and purchase a refurbished go-phone with connection for $30. You don't have to give any address or identity proof for it.
I would suggest you to buy a 'Go phone' with 'Pick Your Plan $49.99' as it has got unlimited night and weekend calling. |
