I don't like CVS. Our local one is so bad, my ob/gyn won't call in rx's there because they've LOST so many. I prefer Walgreens, although they do not stock everything like a local pharmacy does, there are cheaper, fast, and friendly. |

I like the CVS where I live, specifically the pharmacy part of it, because the head pharmacist knows me (her daughter was in my class at school) and all of them are very professional, courteous and informative. When I burned myself last year, the pharmacist took the time to help me find some products to alleviate the pain, she even came out into the store with me to help me find what I needed.
However, if I need makeup, hair products, etc. and don't want to go all the way to Walmart (which is a bit far for me) then I go to Walgreen's because they usually have better prices (by just a few cents sometimes) as well as a better selection. |

I use Fred's for my medicines, because it is local and I have a good relationship w/ the people who work there.
But, I love Walgreens for their sales and all the neat stuff they always have. |

No. A waiting line of more than 3 hours for prescriptions and they are about 10% higher priced than my regular pharmacy. My pharmacy is a local one, not a big name. |

Rite Aid-they often have double coupon days plus they will work with insurance companies and try to get you off generics and onto name brand prescriptions!
But STAY AWAY from Wal-Mart Pharmacy. They were recently sued for taking a moral stance on their birth control drugs. NY State passed a law forcing all pharmacies to have the morning after drug and they refused to comply-and a special interest group succeeded in proving they were not meeting the requirements for state law. I will NEVER get drugs from Wal-Mart b/c they do not have the moral right to choose what drugs you can or can not have. |
