Do you like Walmart? I do, and I also work there as a cashier.
The only thing I do not like about Walmart is those rude customers who hates Walmart but still shop there anyways. They come in and complain complain about how much they hate Walmart. I mean. if you hate it so much, stop coming here. Gee. Save us cashiers from hearing your problems. Some customers seriously are so impatient that they come through the speedy checkout with 2 carts of stuff. Common sense, if you go to the longer check out lane you will get a happier shopping experience and your cashier will probably be nicer and you will go home happy. |

I'm sorry, but, personally, I like Target and Publix the best. I only go to Wal-Mart because they have lower prices... sometimes. But I don't complain. To me, if I have to wait in line, well, I have to wait in line. Nothing's gonna change that.
I'm not to fond of Wal-Mart because the one near my house is grungy... ew. And they're always short-handed when it comes to checking out. They have around 30 something check-out lanes and only 4 or 5 will be open. That's why I like Target and Publix. I can go through any of the lines with ease probably because they're a bit more expensive, most likely why a lot of people don't shop there. And they're making sure the place is clean. At least the one's near I'm at are... Not sure about all of them though....
But, hey! If I'm on a money squeeze or a budget: Wal-Mart, here I come!!!
Plus Wal-Mart is starting to order Organic and All Natural products, which happen to be cheaper than Publixes... Sometimes.
There are some crazy people out there. I deal with them almost every day. It's insane the world we live in today!? |

I do agree though with folks being impatient, but that isnt just a WM thing, that's at what ever store you go to. People just have issues.

LOL, you have a good point. I too have worked at Wal-Mart. I am on both sides of the fence, there are things I like and other things I don't. When I need something, it is one of the first places I think of going. I have noticed a trend that Wal-Mart employees are not very happy as a general rule. I wish that people smiled more. I am guessing it is a difference between those that are working as a career and those who just trying to get a paycheck. I worked there about five years ago. The people who are still working there, seem happy enough when I talk to them. One things that does annoy me is when the cashier will not look at me throughout the entire transaction. I always try to be pleasant and smile, but it is a letdown when I don't get a response for the employees I speak with. I realize that it is not just a Wal-Mart employee problem, it could be any store. Last weekend, I was at the mall looking for a certain item. An employee rushed by me and I asked for some help. She said she would be with me in a minute. She literally came back in less than 30 seconds to show me where the item was. I then asked another question and she went to the store computer to look up the item. She looked like she was literally running her tail off that day, but she was pleasant to me and I left with a smile on my face. Why can't a cashier in Wal-Mart be as pleasant? Just a thought. From what you said, it sounds like you are one of the people who makes a real effort to have the customer leave with a smile. Good for you. ;-) |

well i work in walmart McDonald's and i know that when you need to find a staff member it is impossible because there always doing something. then i go out into the store on my break then i get 50 people come up and ask me things and I'm like i don't work here then i get people yelling at me cuz the service is a joke and then after i spend my whole break doing there job, i finally get to a sales person they wont help me i get so pissed when they do that cuz then after all that i go back ot work and don't get what i left for and i got work for 5 hours more straight so my walmart i currently hate cuz the service a competed joke |
