You technically should due friendship reasons however I find it rather dangerous.
Then again, it depends on what type of person your friend is. If he is the type that tends to listen to gossip and leaves them alone and is very reliable and responsible...then yes. If he is the type that likes to chit-chat and talk about other people behind their backs...then no.
