They are different stores entirely. I shop more at Wal-Mart for toiletries, dry goods, holiday items, packaged foods and paper products, and electronics. Although I despise their corporate ideals, the bottom line is just that, the bottom line = Wal-Mart/Cheaper. However, it should be noted that there are certain areas where I prefer Target and would absolutely spend the little "more" to get better quality, ie clothing, bedding etc. Although they are both considered discount chains, I really don't think Target is completely trying to compete with Wal-Mart. In my opinion, they are aiming for a different shopping demographic. Good question!

I mostly shop at Wal-Mart. I find better deals on everyday type items. Although I do like to go to Target and see what new bedding, etc. items they have. But, you only need so many sets of sheets and then you will have to call 'Clean Sweep' or 'Clean House' to come and bail you out of your excessive shopping trips! |
