Its hard to say, I know I once lived in a really small town that only had a handful of retail stores mostly mom and pop places. Any big retail stores were quite a drive away. For the longest time these small stores in our town were just gouging people with their prices, people had the choice of either driving to another town or pay the high prices. Then Wal - Mart came in put alot of the local merchants out of biz. Is that a good thing? I dont know.I know I like shopping at Wal-Mart. |

I don't think Wal-Mart is corrupt. I think Sam Walton was a genius along the lines of Bill Gates. He knew what would be accepted and take over like wildfire!! Change is the only constant in this world and the only thing we can count on. CHANGE!! Have to run to Wal-Mart before The Ice Storm of 2007 (it already has a NAME-----OUCH!!) hits me today and my candles won't smell like spice. Get a clue folks. CHANGE!!! Be flexible and go with the flow. We are not lemmings. We are thrifty shoppers who are busy and need one-stop shopping. But is Wal-Mart cheating it's employees on insurance benefits now? That's the question we should care about. But you know what?? Sam died. It made Wal-Mart a little different----as in CHANGE!!! Sorry you kids.

I don't shop there. The way they treat their employees and deny them decent benefits just hacks me off. It has been said that everyone in the USA lives within 25 miles of a WalMart. That means a lot of small town shops and stores were put out of business. I'll pay a buck more to shop at one of the few mom & pop busineses still hanging on in the shadow of this monster. Their stock was really down last quarter, so maybe there's hope. |

I hate Wal-Mart. Didn't watch your video to figure out how I feel about them. They are a low-budget scam artist that sucks the life-blood out of communities. They opened a SUPER Wal-Mart in our community - I honestly don't know where the low-lifes came from to shop there but I have never seen such mutant freaks in my life. My favorite part was that they closed a Wal-mart to open their Super store and told the City Council they would turn it into a Sam's Club - after the Super store opened they said the demographics couldn't support a Sam's Club and now there is a big empty building sitting vacant. All the stores attached to the old Wal-Mart have closed.
I liken Wal-Mart to cancer; the Super Wal-Mart is like cancer hitting the lymph nodes.
It doesn't matter to me if I pay a few cents more for something elsewhere; morals mean more than supporting the bloated leech of low-cost country purchasing that has infiltrated America. |

I work for Wal-Mart. It's a great company that is PEOPLE orientated; however, not FAMILY orientated. Our store is open 364 days a year. They close early on Christmas Eve. The only day that they close is Christmas Day otherwise they are open until midnight. I usually end up working Easter, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, etc. That's just wrong! |

Walmart is definatly ruining america. Everything on their shelves is made in China, what about American jobs with a living wage? Certainly not at wal mart Americas largest employer where min. wage is the best they are willing to offer most "associates". They lobby our law makers to keep min wage down to keep their profits high. Watch the movie its an important look inside a company that has way too much control over this nation.

Walmart is ruining us all the way around. I don't need a video to know that. I worked for them for 4 years. They are slowly putting the "little guy" out of business. They are the one's that made that old slogan "Made in America" a bad thing. It is because of them that it doesn't exist anymore. They cut hours and try to get rid of people who are making too much money. They suck on health insurance and most of their workers are now considered "part time" so they can get away with it. They do it all in the name of "better value for our customers". As long as they are using that, they will get away with a lot of it. Hopefully soon, someone will take walmart down. I hope. I personally refuse to shop there. I prefer Target and I go to a different grocery store. As far as I am concerned they dont' need my $150-$200 a week I spend on stuff. If everyone would get over the fact that it is cheaper and understand that they are allowing this to continue, it would be different. Is it cheaper, yes, but is the cost worth it to the average worker?? NONONO. This question should make for interesting answers. Gotta add this one on the watch list:) |
