Do you think Walt Disney would like the company now?
The Walt Disney Company has become a titan of Media & Entertainment, but I wonder if Walt Disney, if he were alive, would like what it has become. I don't think he would, because it doesn't embrace the quality and family-oriented focus that it did when he was alive. What do you think?

Above all, Walt Disney was a man with vision -- and knew how to present what the public wanted in a way that fit into the overall image he created.

Walt would embrace most of the new entertainment -- because it is still successful. What he might have brought was more class and more success.

Lets thaw him out and ask him, I personaly thought he ran the show much better than whoever is doing it now. There are a million movie and entertainmenment companies who can make decent Adult oriented entertainment, But I personaly miss the type of family shows that Walt created and oversaw. We need Family entertainment again. Our world needs innocent entertainment, not crude and vulgar family shows.

uh he's kind of dead now. and old too. im not that old to know what he's like. after all he was racist to jews and hated mice. who'd ever think that of him? i know i didn't, so im clueless about this, sorry, man.

The Walt Disney company lost the magic they had in the early days, especially the movies they produced in the 1950's.

Those classics were wonderful and had themes that the entire family could relate to.

The corporation that it became today is struggling to keep image, while diversifying into unrelated areas to stay competitive.

Let's face it, the magic is gone.

I think he would like the company now.

Yes, it is different from the way he left it, but times have changed and so companies have to change with the times also.

Disney is still the premier family entertainment company in the world and that is something I'm sure Walt would appreciate.
There are theme parks in numerous countries spreading the vision of Disneyland throughout the world.

And Disney is still the leader in family films. It is kind of a shame that they had to buy Pixar to remain number one in the animation business but I think that was a smart move. If you can't beat them, join them (or buy them). I know animation and family films would be high on Walt's list of expectations.

The fact that Disney has ventured into other businesses, like broadcasting, retailing, and even owning sports teams may make Walt a little nervous, but these streams of revenue allow it to make big gambles on the movie business that is anything but
predictable.

Walt was a visionary and today it takes a wider vision to bring in the needed income to keep such a capital intensive business of entertainment going. I know Walt would widen this viewpoint to see that.
