Yes and I have been watching it happen. I have been looking at several models since the beginning of summer, all of which are being offered at a lower price than they were then. Part of it is part of the normal business cycle because as the manufacturer's generally turn out their new model years, they reduce the price on the last model year. That being said, however, they are sitting on huge inventory, both new and used, as well as repossessed cars that no one wants to buy or can qualify to buy. But, cash is king right about now and they will negotiate almost down to cost if you aren't financing. I think they will even deal on the new model year in this economy. |

While they have lots of cars, I would expect big rebates and other incentives.
If the economy stays down longer, they would probably reduce base prices but make up for it by making standard items options :( |
