Do you think people would cry for Walmart or rejoice in celebration if it went out of business?
I know many cried for woolworth so I was wondering if Walmart would be met with the same sentiments. This is considering such websights like walmartsucks.org and the opinions of people in general.
i think people would cry because target is a little pricey.

since walmart has lower prices , puttin woolworth out of business, well. i for one like saving money.
if wal mart is put out of business thru honest competition then great.
socialism , unlike walmart has always failed.

I don't think people would rejoice if Walmart went out of business (I'm assuming you mean all the Walmart stores).
They are one of the biggest employers in the world and that would mean many people would be out of work. I think what would make people rejoice is... if they started paying more, treating their employees better, allowing unions to represent their workers, build within city limits so they would be supporting the cities that are making them so much money.
The Walton family earns billions of dollars in personal income and yet the Walmart Corporation has a very high percentage of its employees who have to use Medicaid to get their health care. That is just WRONG.
Nobody wants them to go out of business, just to be more human centered and allow the people who are doing the WORK to make more of the money. They act like a bunch of royalty, and it's sickening.

thousands of people would actually cry b/c the company is so big that thousands, maybe millions, would be left unemployed

Walmart is essential for many people who can't afford more. Their prescription medicine program is also really helpful for some seniors who don't have a lot of money.
