I don't think "companies" are that involved. Put people have been abusing this service to promote a lot of "work from home" MLM and Network marketing schemes.
The ones I have seen are mostly Network marketing schemes, where one person "asks" how great a particular scheme is, posting the website, and the same person always answers "Yes, it worked for me!"
Of course, they get paid each time they sign someone up or someone clicks the link, so I get angry sometimes, because people could honestly fall for that, and I don't like to think of them getting taken advantage of.
I've reported quite a few, but the 'questions' are still there, so who knows how much Yahoo really cares. Their Guidelines are pretty vaugely worded... you are restricted from promoting Non-Yahoo sites only, so maybe they are waiting and calculating much they can charge for advertisers here. |

yes they have rewards set up. i come here for possible answers to my questions. as far as making money i personally have not but do know that i have come across answers and questions which divert you to sites. are they making money? become an affiliate, build a site and then come back with answer. |

I agree with Drama Guy. If I see a posting that looks in the least bit commercial, I report it.
The only thing is, sometimes when I'm answering a question, I'll recommend some product or service that I know about - not to promote the commercial enterprise, but just to try to help the questioner.
I wish someone WOULD pay me to ask and answer GOOD questions. |

I kinda doubt it. That seems awfully organized. I could see a person who worked for those brands pretending to be a kid and getting some free advertising that way. That's kind of clever actually, and so are you for having thought of that angle at all. I wish someone would pay me for this as I am spending an inordinate amount of time on it. Bye for now. |
