yes. Machines are doing more and more of the work on the lines today and yet the UAW pay is getting bigger and bigger. Show me a job where a high school education gets you a job that pays more then a college educated job pays. I bet you besides the UAW you would be hard pressed to find more then one or two. UAW should be paid on par with the average blue collared job which is in the 12-15 a hour and a extra 10-15 with benefits added in.

Yes, that is one of the primary reasons the auto industry is in trouble. I would not give the big 3 any funds until the UAW will accept the same pay package as toyota, honda etc. I can't understand there logic which is a good job at lesser pay or no pay at all.

Nope. A lot of them work in dirty, dangerous, life shortening, mind numbing jobs, hour after hour, day after day. They earn what they make, including their pensions. They make some of the highest rated, highest mpg vehicles available. So many of the people who think they are overpaid, wouldn't last a week doing these jobs or are just jealous of the autoworkers. They should aspire to have a goodpaying job like them instead.
