No, I would save your money and spend it on stuff that you will need for a full blown economic collapse.
Start stocking canned goods, ammo, and silver. |

Remember with all liquidation sales, they mark up the prices before they start the sale. Then they make you think that because it is a going out of business sale that the prices are good. giving you usually at the start of a going out of business sale 10-20 % off. Most of the time that price is no better than a standard sale or maybe not even that good.
Make sure you know how much what ever you deciede to buy would cost at let say Best Buy and make sure you pay less than that.
Also at these sales it is a final sale and no returns are allowed.
Many people rush into these sales thinking they are getting a good dea because it is going out of business do your homework as you would when buying anything to make sure you get the best price. |

I've found great bargains at liquidations. I once bought a $600 executive office chair for $137. |

ONLY if you are actually in need of something...
I would go to see the prices on office stuff like disks and paper etc. since I am currently not in the market for any expensive electronics.
Make sure that the prices are worth it, no matter what you buy...
You can prob get the disks and paper for cheaper at Micro Center or Fry's electronics on any given day...
Circuit City's prices and sales staff BLOW... I'm surprised it took them THIS LONG to go out of business...
Personally, I don't think the Recession has anything to do with their closing... The recession just put a bullet in to an already dead horse.
p.s. 99% of what you buy is covered under the manfacture warrenty... Not a Store Warrenty!
If you buy a TV or Computer at the Liquidation Sale and it breaks... You wouldn't return it to the store anyways... You would go to the Manufacturer for repairs.
"No Warrenty" is a lie... You always get manufacturers warrenty. |

I went on saturday to my local circuit city. Everything was 10% off, with furniture 30% off and cd's/dvd's 20% off.
IMO, everything was still overpriced with the paltry discount. I would wait until close to the last day (March 31st) as possible. Unfortunately, you won't find much. They had run out of Wii's, ipods, Nintendo DS's already in my local CC.
Btw, i overheard two employees talking about how they were going to sell the extended CC warranties. I just started to laugh when I heard them talk! |

They are leaving the discounts up to the individual stores. To find out how big the discounts are, you will have to go there and check it out. Six miles really isn't far. What if you go and end up getting a great deal on some games? I'll probably go there sometime in the next few days just to see what kinds of deals they have. |

Oh yeah, there are going to be items that are about 70-90% off, but remember there are no warranties or return/exchanges. Accessories are going to be really cheap and games too. |

No, it's not worth it. It's a complete SCAM over there. Prices are higher today than they were on Saturday. I got PS3 guitar hero bundle on Sat for $34, guess what? Today it's on CLEARANCE for 59.99. Blu Rays are all marked up to $34. No wonder that place is going under, and i feel sorry for people who go in there thinking they're getting a deal when in reality, they're getting completely ripped off! |

They won't start deep discounts til maybe 2 weeks before they close. So maybe call and find out their closing date. Back in Dec I found PS3 games at a closing CCIty for $12 in their last week. |

No.
CC will be consolidating merchandise that doesn't sale on a normal basis, deep discount it for a loss and move it to the stores that are closing. The will not be maintaining the normal stock and most items that you would normally be interested in will be shipped to stores that are not closing thus leaving the closing store with merchandise that would be a loss normally and allow CC to list that merch as a loss while maintaining profitability in their stores remaining open. |
