tell me why if you think we are or not |

I don't think we are in a recession, as:
GDP is on the rise.
Employment seems to be coming back.
Dollar is beginning to recover.
Housing is still a problem, but looks like will weather the storm./ |

okay i have heard about this all around. even on the news.
but to be quiet honest with you. this depends on the person. some people are in recession. some people are not. and the reason why i know not everyone is in recession is cos i am not in recession at all. living just like i used to. |

Yep. The economy may have somehow miraculously "grown" or some other garbage and therefore we aren't "officially" in a recession, but I know that numbers can very easily be manipulated. Meanwhile, the value of the dollar has gone through the floor, there have been massive layoffs in the car industry, and it's so hard to find a job that a part-time job at a gas station nearby my house a few months back actually ran out of applications. I repeat: A part-time job at a gas station had so many takers that the people ran out of applications. Is there a recession? You better believe it. |

No. Other than gas prices i see no difference anywhere else. I think it's all panic and fear mongerers. Okay so the housing market is a little dry, but that happens. I wouldn't exactly call it a recession. |

Yes, we definitely are. Prices of houses, gas, etc keep going up and people are losing their jobs. |
