Do you think within the next 3 years or so more companies will allow you to communicate with them via Email?
& Text Messaging @ a higher percentage than currently communicate that way..??.. so as to avoid HAVING to talk to some Rep. who will ask you a million & 1 questions & try to sell you on worthless overpriced crap that is useless to us....?? I know I would be all for it... HOW BOUT YOU....??

I always choose email when it's available. Yes, I believe that they will increase their availability to electronic communication and I would love that. But I'll bet you they'll find some way to ask you all those questions anyway.

Every year, more and more companies are adding this feature to their arsenal of communication -----
There are still tens of thousands of sizable businesses that DO NOT HAVE webpages ---- So, this too, is consistantly changing as businesses are learning of the Major business that they are loosing for NOT having this access for potential as well as established customers !
The Email communications link, though, presents a whole new level of responsibility to the businesses in question --- for, having adequate and capable staffing for this utility is a MUST --- and having the service integrated into how they handle business by this means HAS to be outlined into logistics -- if it is to EVER work successfully !!

Don't expect to be doing much "Crap Free" business with ANYONE though -- in THIS or any other form of communications --- for it is an engrained entity IN business NOW !! And, whether you talk with them eye-to-eye, OR deal with them by way of Email --- your going to get the "sales pitch" and the "hype" no matter what --- it is just the way business is DONE now !!!

I think it is an inevitability.

However, whether that is a good thing, I'm not so sure.

When things go wrong it would mean you would have a better record of conversations had, and promises made (or broken) by the company.

However, I find if you are polite and patient, phone calls are generally the best way forward. Its the closest thing to dealing with someone face-to-face

No.

It seems the current trend will continue. And that trend is to have automated online and telephonic FAQ machines. Annoying as most customers and clients find them, companies love them because they are infinitely cheaper than hiring real people to man phones and answer emails 24/7.

in the next 3 years or so most likely you may only able to communicate with companies via email and fax ...everything is already computerise .....
