It depends if you have a written contract and what it says. If you don't they don't have to pay you.

No. Sick time is not paid out when you leave. Vacation time accrued should be paid out though.

typically, no - that kind of benefit is usually not treated the same as vacation

well i have been laid off /fired what ever you want to call it and i was given my Sick and Vacation pay.It caught me by surprise cause i was depressed about losing my job i forgot i would get severance pay.But it probably does depend on the rules of the job also.
