My boyfriend was telling me about some kind of dvd that he had seen about walmart and how they dont give hire full time workers for that reason and basically how corrupt walmart is and how he will never shop there again. Do you kno anythis about this? |

They will hire new employees as part time status becuase baecause there are alot that will quit during their first year. After they are there for a year they will offer the hardworking employees full-time status. |

Every company does that. Drs offices will do it, Pharmacies will do it, Hospitals will do it,Burger King and McDonalds does it... I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Wal Mart did it. |

Although I need to save every penny I can, I've heard so many negative things about the way Wal-Mart treats its' employees, I now make it a point not to shop there.
I've heard Wal-Mart, to avoid paying a worker overtime, will make one of their workers clock out, then force the worker to continue working into overtime. Another thing I've heard is that Wal-Mart is very discriminatory towards their female employees regarding career advancement. I've also heard, just recently, about an unfair Wal-Mart wage-cap policy. I've also heard Wal-Mart pays their workers so little, and makes the employee contribution for health care so high, many workers cannot afford to pay for their health insurance.
I believe Wal-Mart is one of the most corrupt companies out there. In addition to their unfair employment policies, it just started bothering me that Wal-Mart doesn't offer that many choices for like products. Also, their aisles are always crammed with crap, the check-out lines are always long, unless you get there within a few hours after opening, and their employees don't look very happy, which is always telling. |

I know a few associates at my local Wal-Mart. This one is not hiring new full time associates, and it's generally for that reason. Not sure if it a nationwide thing, but it's quite possible. |

Wamlmart is corrupt. They do not even like their employees to talk to each other. They make benefits too high for employees who are eligible to afford it and yes, they do hire part time so that they do not have to offer them. |

i've got a few friends who work at wal-mart and they tell me that they don't get full time so the corporation won't give them full benefits. they have also put a wage cap into place here recently. |

Yes,he is right,I used to work at walmart and they started me out as part time,and I never did get benifits. they also made me work 2 to 4 hors after my shift was over and told me I was still on the clock but when I went to clock out the damn thing said i was already off the clock,never did get paid for the hours i work. They have several law suites on them from current employees and ex employees for the part time thin and not getting paid for extra hours,so he is right,walmart is not all that great any more. |
