Probably a lot! Not sure how much TSB charge, but as an example Alliance and Leicester charge £5 a statement, which works out at a staggering £360!

Thankfully though there is an alternative. Using the Data Protection Act you can ask for a copy of your charges for the last 6 years, or if the bank wants a set of statements, they usually send the statements. The maximum fee for this £10, so you make out a cheque for £10 to the bank, and enclose it with your request. The bank then have 40 days to send the requested information.

A template letter for requesting your charges, along with more information and full guides to claiming back your bank charges can be found at my site below, which is free to use, and gives you everything you need to claim your own charges back.

derek
apparently they are not allowed to charge more than £10.

You could apply for online banking with them, the statements go back for 5 years on there, you just download em and print them off. Make sure you work out the interest they owe you it didnt half surprise me £120 on about £1600 charges. They dont give up easy, filed with small claims about 10 days ago should be getting my money back in about 1 month (hopefully)

The banks will make a charge if you go to them for your bank statements but if you have online banking then you can normally review your last 6 years woth of statements online. You can then go through it and just print of the pages you need.

Good luck with claiming back your charges, don't give up, they are unfair.
