There is no mail delivery on National Holidays. ... But alot of the post office employees will be working on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. The mail handlers do not get the day off unless they have seniority. The guy at the top of the list gets first crack at the holiday, but the rest of the workers get 2x and 1/2 pay.
