Yes, I think that attractive skinny people get better and more polite service. Plain people get ignored, short people don't get seen or are perceived to be children and fat people are treated rudely. The way you're dressed makes a difference as well -- Just look at the movie "Pretty Woman." I also think you get worse service if you don't look like you fit in at the store -- for example, I was trying to buy a gift at Hot Topic and couldn't get ANY assistance at all, but I got asked if I needed assistance by every clerk I saw (at least 5) in the Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day.

Brother Otter
Sad but true; tall, well dressed men seem to get better service than anybody.

mayhap
i find that when i dress all bummed out, that i get worse customer service then if i am all dressed up. i think thye look at you as if you have $$ or not... Harris was good for that, so is nordstroms

It’s not size, it’s appearance.

I’ve had the opportunity to go to the same mall, same stores in the middle of the day dressed in jeans & a t-shirt and in an expensive suit. I won’t say I was ever mistreated, but sometimes sales people failed to acknowledge that I walked into their store when dressed down. However, in the suit, in any store, the sales people fall over themselves to serve me.

its just me deal w/ it
YEA EVEN I NO TAT AND I DONT WORK CUZ IM 13

"Size." It Depends!
Are you a six foot, 200 pound man. <}:-{(
Or a woman with lots of cleavage.(---Y---)

Depends on whether she can see my bulge or not.

Van is due 5/8/08!
I think so, but more of appearance in general. I have walked up to make-up counters and jewelry stores and opened my wallet and yelled at people who blow me off in the store because I don't dress fancy or look like I have money.
