In order for you to call and write them, companies have to market their product to you so that you are aware of their product and services in the first place. Maybe when you receive junk mail you should barrage the said companies with mass emailings inquiring about their use of recyclable materials in their promotions or dump them in a bin from your recycling center.

It is and can be very annoying receiving daily junk mails through postal mail and email but this is how they make their money. It is not likely that we are going to get it all to stop. Good luck trying though. I totally support you!
