Okay, I have 8 Watchers and 1 Bidder of my item.
I bidded on a zune 2 days ago for $50. Im sure they had ALOT of watchers on this item.. they just didnt want to bid because the price would go up. Now today, within the last hour of bidding, it went from $80 to $140. Thats really good for the seller.
Now Im selling an item, and there is one bidder right now for $90. I have 8 watchers, and 3 have had questions. Is it possible they will jump my item at the last hour and skyrocket the price like the zune? Im just wondering if thats what watchers do.

That's what I do. I wait till the last possible moment before I bid. When I do bid I put in what the max that I will pay for that item. That doesn't necessarily mean that is what I will pay if I win but at least I don't ruin my chance of getting it because I'm only raising the minimum each time. |

Sure .. the more watchers the better. It just shows interest in the item, but people want to get it for cheap so they will wait until 30 sec to bid. So don't be surprised when it sells for $50 more than what it is now. |

Yes, that is what EVERYONE does on Ebay it seems. You see, if someone bids early on and high, they automatically raised the price for themselves. If they wait until the last few minutes, they don't end up paying as much AND the risk of being outbid is there. Bidders watch it to see if it is a great deal at the last few hours AND if they seller will lower the price or add anything to make it sell better. Watchers don't always bid, but for what you're selling, it is bound to be a good sale. |

Sometimes. I tend to get watchers on my items Sometimes they drive the price up other times they just watch and don't bid at all. you never can tell. |

Yeah if they are really interested in the item is in good conditions it will definately go up the last hour. thats how it is on ebay they bid on the last minute. |

Yes, people do that so they don't have to bid and make the price go up, 90 percent of bidding usually occurs in the last 5 minutes. |

But yeah, sometimes they watch just for the heck of it and sometimes they bid at the end. You just never know what's gonna happen.

I'm really glad you bidded.
As for the watchers, it's possible. Thats what they do. They watch to either see where it will go and if it's worth their bid, OR they are watching just for curiosity sake and never intend on bidding. You'll just have to wait and see. |
