EBay is simply a medium for sales and is not responsible for payment or delivery. One thing a lot of eBay sellers do not realize is that they are obligated by the FTC to make sure a package sold by mail does arrive within 30 days. While many sellers charge the buyer extra for insurance, the seller is legally bound to insure delivery whether the buyer pays extra or not. When I sell on eBay, I always include postal insurance at no extra charge.
