What Ebay will do, is you will register a complaint with them against the seller, and they have up to 30 days to respond, I think. IF they dont respond, they will refund your money if it's at or over $25 (not including shipping). If it's under that amount, you are screwed. That happened to me. I bought an item of clothing for my daughter, got a 2X women's size nightgown instead, and was screwed out of my money.......... Good luck! |

take it to ebay as it is still theft and they will act on your behalf! |

Report it anyway, although you only see a user name ebay will have more account details and email and addresses for the person and may help prevent further fraud if they try to create a new user ID.
But you can kiss the DVD and cash goodby. |

Did you pay with a credit card? (Paypal perhaps?) if so, contact them and dispute the payment. If you paid by money order or check, then you will have to contact ebay, which will not get you far if they are no longer active.
If you paid by another means such as a credit card via another site, you can also contact your bank if that is who you paid through.
Sorry to hear you are having a problem |

How did you pay for the DVD? If you paid with a credit card then you should have fraud protection. Just call your credit card and tell them what happened. Otherwise, sign on to PayPal (assuming you paid that way) and register a complaint. If you didn't pay via PayPal then register a complaint with eBay. |

I'm so sorry, but you're not getting your DVD , or your money back. You can file a claim, but if she's cleaned out her Paypal account, you won't get it, due to "insufficient funds". MAYBE she's an honest one, though, but I would prepare for the worst. At least it was just a DVD and not a digital camera or something pricier. |

Did you pay with Pay pal?? It can be disputed only after it is reported to Ebay or Even paypal has payment insurance. Hard lesson to learn but that is why they have a feedback rating system on ebay so you now how well you can trust that seller. I have a rating over 1100.....and you would have received your DVD player if I sold it to you. |

I bought two items through e-bay; first one i received; but the quality of the pool table was much poorer than excpected; the second was a pc game; which I did not receive... this indicated to me that I should steer clear of e-bay for shopping purposes. We're bound to get conned by criminals. Was a great idea at first; but to dicey now. |

Always report to ebay, with enough complaints criminal action may follow.
Always use Paypal - you are protected up to the value of ÂŁ500 per transaction in the UK.
It could've been better if you'd checked the advice before entering a bid - http://pages.ebay.co.uk/safetycentre/index.html
Your credit card company may help but from your enquiry it sounds like you rushed in and paid in the equivalent of cash. If so just put it down as the cost of your education and move on.
There are thousands of people trading on ebay and among them - just as there are fish in the sea - you'll find a few sharks, but don't let that keep you out of the water.
Here's to the next time. |
