Hi everyone, I was just wondering how bad feedback needs to be before Ebay looks at someones account and shuts it down. I bought something of a particular buyer (fastmemoryman) but now looking at the feedback i really wish i hadnt done. the seller has over 1963 bad feedback scores. this is something to look at as most of them are complaining of the same thing, long delivery times lack of contact to which i must now agree. They still cant be allowed to trade with this many complaints can they? all comments welcome..... |

I bought from a guy and soon afterwards he got a ton of bad feedback. After September 13th he just stopped sending stuff, he could have been in an accident or gotten sick and nobody is paying attention to his website.
But I paid through paypal and got my money back you file a dispute after 10 days, hope you paid your seller the same way. |

Is there a way to complain to ebay? I honestly dont use it much, but always look at the feedback before I buy.
You might check out their policies and see if there is a way to make a formal complaint.

I am a store owner and a buyer-my feedback is 100%-but then again, that's me. When I buy I only buy from those with 98% or higher and I actually go and read the feedback and see how old it is also. Another factor is % verses amount of sales. I did have my own problem with a seller that said the product was a woman's size in her ad and sent me teen. It was an expensive sweater and instead of being able to return it and exchange it as they advertised, she send an absolutely bad feedback on my score after I had written one that just was a one sentance truth-so the feedback system actually hurt me more than helped! Upset-(and pissed I might add) as I was the victim, I finally got her to withdraw it and got back my 100% on mine but was stuck with the product-I gave it away and have since been scared to leave bad feedback due to a reprisal I could do nothing about.....I sell my original paintings and so my sales are not the same as a clothing or gadget seller quality and truthful business practices are everything in my book but I have come to find that that is somewhat unusual.....Read everything-its your money and don't go for less than 98%. Go to eBay "Live Chat" and talk with a representative. There must be some kind of eBay policy that protects the buyer.
They can give you a link to find the sellers information, including their phone number. How long have you been waiting for your item???
Go to eBay live chat. There is a link at the upper right hand corner of the home page. They can help you better than I can, and you can get answers right away. |
