In my experience almost all the major energy suppliers rip off their customers in some way,this is because most of us have no idea what happens with our meters.
There is a way you can prevent this happening and that's to have a pre-payment meter installed (ie Key meter) and then you will have better control over what you use and pay for.
There is however,a standing charge for having this type of meter which is about £1.90 per week but,that's all and,you control what you put into your meter and do not have to worry about quarterly bills, there is no charge for having the meter fitted.
If they have fitted you with a pre-pay meter they will put credit on it of about £30 which you can pay off at an agreed rate,just tell them you are on a low income.Good luck. |
